I have installed 1157 LED from Walmart in the two tail section bulbs
They are as bright or brighter than regular incandescent 1157
I think its this one but there was only one RED type in the store with a stack of cree elements

I have a signal dynamics voltage indicator which previously with a Gerbing would show
red (low Voltage) with the brake light on at idle.
The indicator remain green with the brake on which is over 13.75 volts
PS I do recommend the signal dynamics as a voltage indicator

Double check that the LEDs are as bright as the incandescent bulbs from off-angles. I tried some LED bulbs in my bike tail lights and they were fine straight back, but was really dim at off-angles. Made my brake lights less effective than I preferred I went back to regular bulbs. Perhaps they are better now though, this was a few years back.
This is a cluster tower of cree elements and seem a REAL replacement for incandescents
Yes 2 years ago the LED were not as bright
