This makes me angry beyond belief. A 15 day suspension for demonstrating complete disregard for the life of a (mortally) injured human being? Fuck that, he should be stripped of his badge.
Anyone know how to track down an adress? I'd like to send that fucktard a letter.
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
on this i herd it on the news 2 night![]()

Heres a condom. I figured since youre acting like a dick, you should dress like one too.
A Vetran talking like that on a emergency 911 line?
Gee you wonder why the public ***MAY*** have a negative outlook towards "the man."
IMHO: That guy should be clubbed by every officer whose jobs' he just made harder.........

And why does it take months of investigation? you have a tape of everything said. It's open and shut he IS an ASSHOLE!!!![]()

You suck at life. Why don't you quit?
My dad told me I could be anything I wanted when I grew up. So I became an Asshole.
That is un-fucking-believable.
Seriously, I want to do something to help the kid's poor father. Anybody have any good ideas? Rallys, group rides, anything?

Well google the parents name and town and see if they're listed.
Then pen to paper a letter mentioning how your outraged and want to assist by organizing a group ride of the like.
Then see what the families response is.
Worth at least a mention in the group rides section if the family wants one..........

Is the cops attitude any different than one I've seen posted by some peeps here about helmetless riders " darwin at work"
the cop was rude, no doubt about it. Do we know the whole story?
I don't think I want to be quite so quick to judge.

The first thing someone should do is contact the AMA and send them the link. I would if I was a member but I know there are many members here that could help out. There pockets are much deeper and they have staff attorney's that would have a fiend day with this.
Hopefully that is a good place to start.

This is not a professional response:
("State police 911.
Yeah I want to report a street bike accident on Incinerator Road in Taftville. Someone crashed on their street bike.
"Yeah... too bad."
Too bad says the state police dispatcher who then hangs up.)
Even if the story bears out the guy was riding without a helmet or even in a known drag racing place, That is not a professional response. No dispatcher answering like that is doing their job or benefitting ANYONE on the other end of the line.
Call in for the time of day, you SHOULD get reamed.
Ask for "Mike Hunt.", get a cruiser to your door.
No screwing around PERIOD.
Its EVERYONE'S lifeline by today's societys design.
No partying and doing coke like in Lawrence, MA. (Fire Department)
No acting like this, tying up the line for THREE different phone calls.
WRONG: Ethically and simply embarassing to every other law enforcement person.

So do you know if the previous 16 911 calls were from cell phones reporting stunters on that street?Originally posted by highsider

The link posted was to a local news source, and wasn't disputed by anyone. And I dont think it matters if the previous 800 phone calls were reporting stunters. (though I think if that were the case here, it would have been mentioned). Thats not how you deal with an accident report, period.

Who the fuck cares if there were a hundred calls about stunting or whatever? The point is, this man's job is to answer emergency calls and direct them to assistance. He showed that he could not do his job, therefore he should not have one. More importantly, an officer who displays an attitude of non-concern for the life of a person he is sworn to protect, while on the job, needs to consider his chosen career path. Perhaps customer service for a local fast food eatery would be a more appropriate profession for someone of his temperament.Originally posted by RandyO

Your argument about attitudes on this site with regard to helmet usage is a strawman because it is none of our jobs to make sure that an injured helmetless rider received medical assistance, but ask yourself, if anyone on this board saw a motorcycle crash, regardless of what kind of gear they were wearing....do you think we wouldn't do anything in our power to helpl that person?
Even Highsider got that one........
LOL
Who knows what the previous call(s) were, but I'll bet its like 15 stunting complaints....then ONE "crash, send help."
That's not exactly crying wolf over and over. Maybe he thinks the ring tone is bothering?
Wrong guy in the wrong place IMHO.

I'd be interested to see what our resident 5-0 has to say on this matter. Anyone heard from VinceF2 lately?
Also wondering if there's anything more on the story, I searched around a bit but no luck. Dunno why, this one really struck a nasty chord.
no doubt, the way i look at it cops are people, sometimes they have bad days or even bad moments just like anybody else.Originally posted by Suf Daddy

sure fire him, what are they going to replace him with? another person... that guess what, is just as likely to have a bad moment.. in the meantime, the LEO that got fired, what happens to him? if he's lucky, he lands a job as a balif at some courthouse, he'll be with others who are baliffs for similar reasons, OR, ht ends up being a security guard renta cop in a mall, doing a job that he hates so hes an asshole to everyone every day.
you think maybe they assesed the situation and punished him properly with a couple weeks unpaid vacation,

Somewhere the definition of a professional is: one who can do the job (or their best) on a bad day.
911 person assesses the situation and dispatches help.
Stunters: Crusiers, maybe low priority
Crash: Ambulance and/or fire department.
That occupation has higher standards to meet than we the general public have to.
That's all.

I'm really surprised that someone with as much riding experience as you have wouldn't be a little more outraged by this.Originally posted by RandyO

The fact is, the guy had a job - a fairly simple one, really - to deal with emergency calls. He took an oath to protect and serve, and so the whole "bad day" thing doesn't really cut it; a cop's bad day doesn't get to extend to not doing his job.
Hell, if I had a "bad day" at the law firm I work at, they'd shitcan me, straight up. And no one's life depends on me writing a pleading properly.Guess I ought to join a union of some sort so's I can fuck off and get a vacation out of the deal.

Outrage or not, IT should be channeled into action so this won't happen again.
Sure its going to be debatable, how long the extra delay played a roll in this guys life, but when you hold your breath, every second counts.
