I ordered a blue 06 750... They told me it wont be in until April 23. Just wondering if anyone else has ordered the new 750, and when they told you yours will be in.
Any other info about the bike, please post. I have read a lot about it, but theres a chance one of you know something I don't!
Thanks

Here's some cool pics of it on the track:

Is this your first bike? If so, I'd save the loot and go with a 600. Way more fun.
"You never see a motorcycle parked outside of a psychiatrists office"
Have you seen the new article in Cycle World. They have a completely done up 750 and the thing looks sick. They drop a ton of money into it but the ideas are well worth looking into.
Good luck
No, this will be my third bike. I learned on a 1988 CBR600 Hurricance...then I bought a 2003 GSX-R600...I sold the gsxr this past monday, and my 2006 750 will be in in a couple months.
I had fun on the 600, but the top-end just wasn't enough. All my friends right 750 and up, so i was always in the back of the pack.

Skiierz: My friend called me the other day and told me to go get the new cycle world becuae they had my bike in it, just like you just said. I bought the magazine, and the bike that was all redone in it, that was a 2004...not a 2006. Correct me if im wrong?

Where anywhere in New England is 150mph not enough. Just curious so I know where to stay away in order to avoid pissed off police officers.Originally posted by 2002silverex

But all ball-busting aside, the new 750 looks sick. Let us know how ya like it when ya get it.
Oh... And let me take it for a spin at the next trackday you'll be attending![]()

You can pull mad highway wheelies wit dem bitches fo sho.

Give the guy a break, like he's the only one on here with a 3/4 liter or larger motorcycle. I don't believe he asked for a lecture on his choice of motorcycle, nor did he come in here acting particularly squidly...
I'm all for haranguing on new members, but let's stick to their mothers and choice of sexual partners rather than harassing them over their choice of bike before they even get two words out.
are you saying i'm STILL a new member after all this time?Originally posted by Honclfibr

my response was more in why he was loosing to the big boys. I plan on getting a 750 or a cbr1000rr, becuase they just make a better 2up bike than my 636, not because i cant keep up with throttle jokeys

Heh, naw, you're just the official NESR whipping boy. Not sure exactly how you earned that one, but I'm think you're stuck with itOriginally posted by OreoGaborio

The harrassment is not for the choice of bikes. It was for the choice of words used to describe why he wants said bike. Personally I think the GSXR 750 is a hell of a machine but to buy one for the sole purpose of keeping up with said friends top end on the street is worthy of the harrassment.

I think i've narrowed it down to the fact that I have no problem poking fun at myself... but aparently that gave everyone else permission to bash the fuck outta me

BUT ENUFF O ME... The man introduced himself & asked a question, back to the topic on hand.
As much as I agree w/ the sentiment that getting a 750 for the sake of keepin up w/ the big boys top end is silly, it's said & done, it's ordered & on it's way.... Lets see if he'll go about using his new found powers for the purpose of good, not evil... TRACKDAYS!!!![]()

Wow...i joined this forum in hopes to meet come local guys and talk to people that actually live in my area, rather than gixxer.com and sportbikes.net
And now I wish I hadnt joined. I tell you guys what kind of bike im getting, and ive got nothing but flame... seriously guys grow up.
OBVIOUSLY im not getting the bike for the sole reason to keep up with my friends.
#1 I want a new bike with 0 miles
#2 I really like the looks of the new gsxr750 over the 600, becuase I dont want blue wheels
#3 I am getting a pretty decent deal on the 750
#4 The 750 is basically new from the ground up whereas the 600 isnt completely new
#5 I would like to have a bike with more mid-range top end
#6 I have heard that the 750 is the best all around bike to have.
Now can you guys give me a little more respect?

Nice bike.
A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. - John Stuart Mill
dude, take a breather for a sec... This was HARDLY a flame... maybe a spark & a flicker, but no flameOriginally posted by 2002silverex

That my friend was not in any way a flame, just some friendly harrassment in regards to the squidliness of your statement. I think you made an excellent choice of bikes for a great all around sportbike.

Let me save you some trouble - this web site is a large collection of ball-busting dildos. Relatively pleasant, fun to ride with dildos, but dildos just the same.Originally posted by 2002silverex

BTW, I see you live in Barre, VT. There are about 4 of us in this neck of the woods, the rest of these cretins are from NH and MA.
Isnt Barre like the closest you get to Canada without actually being in Canada?![]()
