Anyone know these bikes? It sounds like a very tame little v-twin 4-stroke, not bad looking for putting around or a practice bike. Wondering how hard it is to come by parts and/or if these things are reliable at all.

i see a lot of these Hyosungs at my local dealership and I'll be the first to admit that they look pretty badass. probably the best looking out of all the 250s. I wouldn't buy one new but they go for dirt cheap on the second hand market
From my old F300 notes, bit down on HP, up on wet weight compared to some other machines. On paper it looks like a slow CB300R.
I thought these were a Chinese knock off... Really inexpensive but I'd assume you get what you pay for..

Someone offered it in trade, caught my interest because I had a GS500F that was about the same power/weight and a lot of fun. Might be neat to have for friends, or maybe give it to my brother or fiancee if they decide to ride. Except my fiancee hates sportbikes and my brother weighs 180lbs
Now I'm googling and finding all kinds of weird parallels to Suzuki and the GS500. Okay, like two references, but parallels nonetheless
Edit: several Google's in now, and apparently Hyosung does make their own bikes for Korean market, has been for a while, and used to contract for Suzuki to produce some of their components. Supposedly their own engine/chassis design, off-brand brake/suspension components, basically a cheap mass-produced sporty commuter, which makes me think parts would be a pain.

IIRC, the frame under that Hyosung has more than just a passing resemblance to a GS500 frame.
If it's in trade for the FJ, bad trade.

I asked about Hyosung 650 once, a couple years ago... So talk me out of one of these
I still have no personal experience with them.
Are you going to work in a Chinese sweat shop?

they are very popular here in Europe but are known not to last long. they are considered throw away bikes. The bike itself is OK but it doesnt last long in use. they rust like crazy here in the English weather, even newish ones have rusty bolts after a few months.
if it's cheap enough buy it but don't plan on selling it quickly or easily. a ninja 250 beats it in every single category.
