OTOH - I happened to catch the end of the Daytona 500 today - and when the race was over, they immediately interviewed........8th place - Danica. WTF.

Alessi, not only a stupid bone head move....but after all the slomo replays when interviewed refused to take any responsibility for the incident...The ref should have sat him out for the night..(no other attempts to get into the main).
That would have got his team and sponsors attention.
Even RC4 who likes super aggressive riding commentated, "Alessi took it way to far ... can see him open the throttle to T bone".

Jeff Alessi went on a rant on vitalmx right after the incident and titled his thread "politics". He basically said that AMA/Feld SX is out to get Mike. After sounding like a total idiot he had the forum moderator delete his thread.

Well, to move on from the MA800 debacle, unless RV1 and KR94 hava a couple of really bad races then this is turning into a 2 horse race. JS7 was making a run at it but his folly in the opening laps put him awfully far back in the points. Even with RD5s good finish he's still behind the 7. The 1 is notorious for having really bad nights but they are usually early in the season. Since we are past that I can only hope that the 94 can keep the pressure on.

I don't mean to beat a dead horse here, but why does Alessi still have an AMA pro license after that? Luckily Tickle's leg didn't break, but that's pretty much what Alessi was aiming to do. Would Alessi's punishment have been different in that case?

Well I said last week that it was gonna take something major to get the rest of players back in the game. I thought this was gonna be it when the top 2 went down. Then the rest went down with the exception of the the RD5. But RV1 fought back keep his stranglehold on the lead. With KR94 sending himself to la la land, Its gonna take a few more bad finishes from the 1 or a dnf in order for anyone else to have a chance.

Also, and RD5 fans should be thankful for MA800s great run up front for holding up ET3 long enough for the 5 for opening a huge gap.

I just watched the Daytona SX from this past weekend. Barcia = DICK!!!!! Loved seeing Malcom try to wheelie over him when they were picking the bikes up, that was great.

i thought Malcolm looked like an idiot. Barcia's pass was clean but he fucked up and washed the front. no reason to push Barcia or wheelie over his bike. (even if he's been a little prick lately)

I agree with that. Malcom wants to play with the big boys then he has to play with big boy rules. If JB51 hadnt tucked the front then it wouldve been a clean pass.

Even without tucking the front I think they would have made contact. They don't call him Bam-Bam for nothing, he had that coming.

In that case, I didn't really see Bam bam in the wrong. He just fell making an inside pass. That's racing. Look at the pic of Alessi for what is NOT just racing.

I was hoping to see Malcom running up front, then after that stupidity I didn't care where he finished. Not that I am a Barcia fan either.
