    It's likely that those posting about longevity tend to put lots of miles on. Also, of people looking for new chains and sprockets to replace a 530 set, It would be reasonable to assume that most already wore out the 530, and that takes quite a few miles...

    Hard anodized sprockets will wear almost like a steel, not quite as strong as steel, because, internally it is still aluminum, but far better than machined aluminum.
