The new white/red/red looks sick. I saw that posted by Ducati on FB yesterday and immediately started drooling.

I wonder if I could get my frame and rims powdercoated red to match like that......

Yep and I know a place that can do it for you. You don't want to PC though, go paint. PC may hide cracks.

I always thought that the black or while superbikes that had red frames (with nothing else red) lacked a certain something -- couldn't put my finger on it, but I had a vague sense that it was gimmicky -- but I think the addition of the red wheels really pulls it together. Sharp.

848evo is just the 848 with some model updates, so its really just replacing the current bike. Price remains the same, $12,999 for the "stealth" model, $13,999 for the red or white paint options.

The higher compression pistons and lightened internals (from what I've read) completely change the motor. The brake calipers are a huge upgrade.

It is indeed replacing the "old" 848, there are not different trim levels aside from paint.

Yeah, didn't mean to downplay the upgrades, just meant to say that its still an 848, not an 'S' or 'R' model.

I've seen the stealth in person and as much as I like the color, I feel like everywhere a scratch occurs, the color would turn from flat to glossy.

isn't the white flat too? I bet that would do the same thing, but not be as noticeable. resale white ftw.
