While driving on my way to visit the woman. I'm driving down the street and this person in the oncoming traffic lane is driving (according to people this person was driving like an ass prior to the incident) and they suddenly without a blinker just cut left and cut me off trying to make a turn. Person sees me through the turn, and i noticed to try to get around the rear of the person's car but they decidecd to stop dead in my lane. i was already trying to brake hard hoping they would accelerate and leave me room to go around the rear but they didnt.
so i was probably like 15 ft away from the intersection before they just sped up and turned without stopping or signaling. ended up hitting the back end of the car and going over the handlebars, over the length of the car and the bike followed. shoulder took initial impact, then back and legs and hands. then bike lands on my legs. 30 or so people stopped to help. 10 witnessed the person not stop. worst of all person fled the scene. no plate number, no partial plate number. i went to get checked out, just bumps bruises, tiny rash, right hand is killin, and a lot of soreness.
helmet didnt touch the ground, jacket not a scratch on it. gloves ripped in the palm. bike damaged. i'll get pictures later.
just lets everyone thank the asshole that fled the scene. obviously his insurance rates are more important than my well being.
Now that was from monday night. Little update is that the police found the cars that chased the person but they couldn't get any of the information of the vehicle.
Appraiser came by and checked out the bike, he tried to say it was mostly cosmetic even though the bike won't start and they are cutting me a check for 4400, and now I'm bringing it to my mechanic to see if that will be enough.
Lesson for everyone, don't even bother riding near the city of chelsea.
so they didn't track down the car? Do you have a description of it?
Glad to hear you're ok. Good luck with the bike.
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
That sucks that the fucker got away. Its surprising that no one got his plate number.
Hope you fell better soon![]()
They chased the person but were not lucky enough to get a plate number, not even one number on the plate.
It was a late 80's early 90's honda accord or toyota camry.
I'm going to be fine, just sore as a motherfucker. My bike though, thats another story....
Thanks guys
FUCKIN HELL dude... i'm sorry man, that sucks bigtime.... and fuck the guy who fled. i don't think there's anything more dispicable than a person who runs from something like that... do not pass go, do not collect 200 dollars - coward for LIFE
Let us know if there's anything we can do. heal up quick & get back on the road.

must be one of those illegal... you know...fuckers...
"fuckit!"
How can there be that many witnesses and even people who chased after the guy and no one got the plate... what are people thinking sometimes.
Anyway...
Hope you're ok.
What color was the car? Anything unique about it?
What kind of bike? and color?
We can keep a lookout for a car with rear end damage with your bike paint color on it.

man, that sucks, dude.
heal quick, and i hope they get the fucker.
The only "intuitive" interface is the nipple.
Yeah, I was surprised that nobody even got a partial plate. A friend that works at an insurance company said with a partial plate they could atleast have a chance.
According to the police when people chase down other people they usually try to get them to pull over and forget to get plate numbers and call the police. So they guess thats what happened.
Another thing was that before I even hit the ground the person was already speeding away, I don't believe they even looked to see how I was going to land or even if another car was going to come and run me over.
It was a late 80's early 90's honda accord or toyota camry 4 door. The body looks very similar to one of those vehicles. The color was maroon or red. Damage to the rear passengers side of the car.
I'm going to get the police report today for records and to fax to the insurance company also, but the cops already said they were not lucky enough to get a plate.
Thanks for the concern guys, and I definitely would like to say without gear I would have broken my shoulder, rashed up my right arm, my back, my left palm, and the top of my right hand. Legs have very small amounts of rash. I am battered and feel beat up, but thankfully thats the extent of my damage. My new Alpinestar gloves ripped from when then scraped the ground. Jacket is in one piece without a scratch on it. Helmet didnt even tough the ground.
I was lucky, could have been worse. And looks like my 2003, gsx-r in all silver is going to be layed to rest. We have to wait to see whate the mechanic tells me.
Sorry to hear about your accident. I hope you heal quickly and are able to ride soon. I also hope that the asshole that caused your accident is caught and prosecuted.
Good for you for wearing the appropriate gear!!!!![]()

Heres a condom. I figured since youre acting like a dick, you should dress like one too.
Sorry to hear about the wreck. Its great to see that you faired so well after something like that. I figured that you would say you broke your legs from when the bike landed on them.
I also hope that the fuckhead that caused it will soon die a long, horrible death.
I hope you get yourself back on the road soon.
It sucks because usually we all ride in a group at least 2 or 3 people. If this was the case one of us could have stayed with him and one could have chased the guy down got and got the plate, then dragged him out of the car and beat the shit out of him with our helmets.
Yeah I was extremely lucky. I mean it's very easy to look at the other possible outcomes that this sutation could have head. Could have landed on my head instead of shoulder, never know could end up with a compression fracture from the impact. Could have been run over by another car. It could have been an SUV and instead of going over the car I would have went into an SUV maybe even through it. I was lucky I didn't break anything, Very good thing I didn't hurt my legs from the bike landing on me.Originally posted by A996S

It really was my lucky day in a way that I wasn't injured, but only in that way, otherwise I was unlucky.
in this case more is better.Originally posted by xxdcmast

Speaking of gear.
What kind of jacket were you wearing?
You said it held up well.
What model of A* gloves were they? Since you said they got torn up.
Do you think they tore too easily?

SHITTY , just shitty this jack ass fled. Own up when you fuck up..
Sorry to hear of the crash, sucks when shit happens and you yourself never did anything wrong. I am glad to hear you injuries are minor, the bike is fixable or replacable easy enough. Important part is your in good health and will recover 100%.
Myself and a few friends had a few close calls in Boston last year, and I swore I would never ride in town ever again.
Get well and get yourself a new ride!

RIP A.B. RIP BEET, I Ride in Leathers because I would rather sweat than Bleed...
For gear I had on Alpinestar SP-1 Gloves, and Alpinestar tz-1 jacket. The jacket does not have a scratch on it like I said. I believe the gloves did their job and some considering how hard my hands hit the ground and scraped some also. I know that I will buy those gloves again, if not a better pair.

Sorry to here about your accident. If you are really hurt and need treatment, go and get it so you don't end up with arthritis and stuff down the road. Do you have MEd Payments cov on your policy for the bike? If not you can pursue an uninsured motorist claim on your own policy. Will not effect your rates either. If you get an atty, send me a pm and I can recommend a few, being a casualty adjuster, I run into a lot of the scuimbag, not so good lawyers and you end up with short money.
