Well I am cheap
Looking for dual sports for the DRZ 400
Both the IRC and Kenda have good looking tread patterns to me.
They are like 30 and 40 bucks where a similar appearing Pirelli and Metzlers are like 120
I wanted like 50/50 fronts and 80 dirt 20 street rears.
Opinions ?

Yeah it's just that damn filler they put in instead of rubber that will screw you.
There your bikes sneakers, buy quality.
It's not like you are any kind of Mileage king.

I agree with him
run these:

I like the Dunlop D606 for a sturdy tire that sticks to pavement well enough and can still get down a trail okay. The Pirelli MT21 isn't bad either, but gets squirrely in slick mud. Stay away from anything that says "FIM approved" -- those are usually just full-on dirt tires with shorter knobs. Many trail riders like the Kenda Trackmaster. I've had poor experience with Duro tires -- cracking.
A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. - John Stuart Mill
The DRZ has the mt21 on it now
the front knobs are wedges from braking
As I am obnoxious I don't have anyone to ride serious dirt here so the leaning toward the 50/50 putts around.
MY 7 year old has a PW50 so I don't hink we are going serious offroad there either.
Surprisingly that reasearch on the KLR sight most really like the
IRC GP1
I think I am going to try them they are like 85 for a set but with tubes etc it will be like a 110
Psst I will post later but it looks like replacing the #22 pilot jet with a #27.5 has solved the idle failure. Don't know yet over long time but the holes is really much bigger so I might have destroyed my gas mileage. Compared to stahling I don't care. That's why i think it will be used more.

I like my GP110's, the GP1's are a bit more off-road oriented.

the gp 110 look like he are light on tread rubber exactly where I would be in a twisty turn

My footpegs on the KLR tend to disagree.

I've seen him push the KLR way over with those tires and they held. The ass end was dancing around quite a bit but it held.

They were also cold, old and the rear was and still is toast.
