Cheap Dual Sport

Just when I said no more motorcycles . I get a hankering for a dual sport.

XL XRL DR DRZ XT KLR ect... Projects Ok. Not looking to break the bank since I will probably will hardly ride it like all my others. In fact, the cheaper the better. If its pre 2000 I dont need a title.

My latest bright idea: pick up a Ninja 250 for under $2K, add dual sport tires, call it my dual sport.

Yes...I am totally aware of the covid tax on all recreational vehicles...hence the wanted post !
I used to have mu own small one man powersports repair shop. I miss the days when the bikes would find me.

i used to have a TW...i miss that bike...it was a 2000 that i picked it up for $1500

My TW sold last spring for what I paid for it without advertising. The buyer stated there was one other for sale on the east coast.

I'd love to have an XT250. Check Ken Condon's posts about his, f'rinstance. This one looks great ... but again, $3500 for a 9 year old 250? Someone will buy it and have a great bike. But this isn't my thread, so who cares what I think?
