Anyone know where the best place to get one is? I'm looking for a full suit that I can zip over my normal clothes, so I can use the bike as my main transportation come spring. I haven't seen many places advertising on de interwebs.![]()
Looking to get one myself this winter - basically, Aerostich/RidersWearhouse dont supply anyone else, so they're prettymuch the only source.
Used ones do turn up on the fleamarket section of advrider.com though
always some on eBay
I figured it had to be something like that, usually when you google a motorcycle product you get a ton of sites advertising stuff for sale.
I'm looking to get a new one (for Christmas, yay!), so I'll check for the Riders Warehouse site and see what I can come up with.
Thanks for the advice.![]()
Don't forget to give this one a shot too:

Give them a call and they'll tell you the closest shop you can go to try one on. That is going to be my next bit of gear if I do more long distance touring.
I have not personally bought anything from them, but I've yet to hear anything bad about Olympia. They have a huge following on ADVRider.com, and with touring riders in general it seems.
I tried on the Phantom and really liked it a lot. The only reason I didn't get it was because I got a smokin' deal on the Fieldsheer touring 2 piece I have now.
If you go on ADVRider you can find tons of Phantom vs Stich comparisons. In my mind, the Stitch is not worth how much they want for it. The materials they use aren't state of the art, and the suit looks DATED. On top of that, the stich still isn't totally waterproof (wet crotch). Some say getting into/out of stich is quicker, but I had no issues with the Phantom.
Thanks for the tips, I think I'll be going with one of the Olympia suits. I dont care much what it looks like, so long as it is waterproof and comfy and I can put it on fairly easily.
I just want to do some RandyO style miles this summer.![]()
One guy on ADVRider put the Phantom on and sat in the shower for a bit (10+ min). Apparently he was bone dry when he took it off. Pretty good if you ask me.
I've owned a Roadcrafter I since 1994 and another since 1999 and my wife and I wear them all the time (we don't ride without full suits, gloves, boots, helmets, back protectors). These are still great suits compared to others out there and they are made in the USA. Why should you care? Well, I crashed in one of our suits at 65-ish mph and slid for quite a ways. No marks on me even though I was fairly banged up and since it was made in the USA by Aerostich I just sent it to them and it came back with quite a few really well done repairs for $80 and a hand signed letter from Andy (the owner and founder).
Almost waterproof if well treated, super if you do hit the ground, fairly well vented (not as good as some), lots of custom fit options. Talk to them before you even order the first one to try. I also hate my other suit where I need to stop and put on the liner if it looks like rain... even though it vents better I just like to keep riding but with the liner in that suit is really hot.

yes, just like a pair of LL Bean boots, always in style.
nothing is quicker on and off over street choths than the stitch one piece
the 2 piece roadcrafter is more waterproof
the stitch is comforable even in the hottest weather as long as you keep moving, in winter, they are only as warm as what you wear underneath, not the greatest in winter imho
cordura may not be the newest technology in fabric, but it's still the best textile for abrasion resistance

My 10 year old, crash tested, one piece Roadcrafter will be getting $200 worth of factory repairs (most of the money is for 4 zipper replacements) this Winter. I expect to get another 100,000+ miles out of it once the repairs are done. I'd buy another in a heartbeat. Good stuff.
