Life is a challenge. You can take the risk and experience it, or sit back and watch it go by. I choose to experience it. (W.L.Heath)

Hey, it almost looks like mine![]()
Add some turn signals, mirrors, a horn and a brake light switch and put that bizniatch on the road![]()

From what I understand there is a kit to set up the turn signals and stuff. I have a break light switch I think. This bike will be plated for the street.Originally posted by R7

Nope.....................I just checked and I don't have a break light switch.

The brake light switch is simple, it's a KTM part and it plugs in directly to the harness.
The turn signals are pretty simple as well to make yourself and all you have to do is pull 2 small wires for the rear signals through the stock KTM harness, add a flasher and a switch and you're done![]()
I used a basic switch, signals, horn and lights on and off with high and low beams.
Let me know if you have any questions

What did you use for a break light switch (i.e. where did you get it and who makes it) and how did you mount it?Originally posted by R7

I got the switch from the place I bought the bike (dealer) and it's a KTM part. I'll see if I can dig up the part number for ya.
All you do is replace the rear banjo bolt in the brake line with a pressure switch, then run the wires up into the factory harness and just plug it in![]()
Yamaha
The banjo bolt switches work fine.
Mark, how did you get a highbeam?
The KTM's already have the wires and the light bulb for the high beam, you just have to add a switch, then wire it like the diagram that comes with the switch says to, and I used the one I posted aboveOriginally posted by Ken C

Nice ride Wayne![]()
so , i guess lane-splitting is legal in Austria, eh?![]()
going to be riding super cross wayne?those dirt bikes will give you one hell of a workout.
The KTM I bought is set up for enduro not MX. The minute I put my ass on the Ducati I got the Dirty Bug. The way I look at it is the only thing the Ducati lacks over the 950 KTM is ground clearance. But given the roads I would typically go on with the 950 KTM I don't think I really need the clearance.Originally posted by blackvfr

Anyway's I road the KTM for the first time on Sunday around my yard and it was kinda funny. I swung my leg over the seat and found that I could only touch the ground with my toes. I took it for the first spin and got use to the controls. I took it for the second spin and when I got off of the grass onto my dirt driveway, I sparked it up a bit and did a 25-30 foot hole shot from a 15mph roll. I took it for the third spin and did the same thing but this time I lofted the front end at the same time. I had a freakin woody. If I hadn't planned a street ride on Sunday with friends I wooda taken the KTM for an orientation ride. This sucks. I think I am in love.
The Video was awsome Tim. But it would have been more convincing for me to buy it if they did the video in an off road enviroment. I could do the same type of rideing as in the video on the Ducati.
I think I will be more off road than on next year.

Wayne, I'm not sure that the trails in NH are open. I went to Clough this past weekend hoping to tear up some muddy trails and the entrances were closed. I wonder if that was because there may have been some flooding.....![]()
Anyway, I would love to hit it this weekend if there are any open trails.
