What's the best kind of ramps to use and where's a good place to get them?

Harbor Freight has these for pretty cheap but it would be nice to have ramps that fold up. Harbor Freight Tools - Quality Tools at the Lowest Prices

Ebay has a ton of ramps from around $85 and up but they only include one ramp usually.

Right now I'm using two wood planks with ramp ends. They don't fold and don't even really support the weight of a bike. The ones I have are at least 12' long and it's a pain having them stick out past the truck bed.

I'll have to check out Tractor Supply Company. I just wish they were closer. It doesn't seem like they deliver.

First, I would cut your ramps... 12 feet is crazy.

Mine are 8 footers and work fine.

my dad's truck bed is so friggin high off the ground. I suppose I could cut them down a bit and try it with the bike running and walk along side it. The exhaust on the EX usually gets caught at the top though. Usually my brother holds the bike while I pick up the back of the board to make it level.

The size they are making trucks these days is ricidulous. There is no need for it.

The diff of 12' and 8' isn't that much diff of an angle, if you can find a curb or something to load off of it will more then make up the difference too.

Best bet is the arched ramps at Lowes, I think they were 120$ or so for the pair earlier this year, can't remember exactly, but they are aluminum and arched at the top and have built in tie downs/ups, nice stuff.

I think curved ramps are a must with my dads truck. I'll go to lowe's tomorrow and check them out.

I had a truck that had a 42" bed height, 8' straight ramps were ok, but curved ones were the only type that could actually allow me to load the bike solo.

I'm not sure how tall my dads truck it but it's got to be close to 40". Being able to load it solo would be nice.
