    Shoei RF-1000

Well after a couple hours in the new lid, I'm already glad that I spent the extra hundred bucks for the Shoei, instead of getting another Scorpion. While on paper the weight difference may not look like much, you CAN feel it. The shield mechanism is real solid, which I love, especially the lock. Vents work incredibly, and the comfort is spectacular. Came with the breath guard, as well as the chin skirt, which in colder weather was great. While with the Scorpion, the chin skirt was an accessory which was only like $7 or something, it was nice that Shoei thought to include it with the lid. Special thanks to ri-gixxer who pointed me to Competition Accessories: Home Page for the lowest price I've seen.

    Thumbs up Shoei RF-1000

Like my Shoei a lot although I think the breath guard stinks but I wear glasses which kinda screws up the whole idea. The price from that link is amazing but I had to get the TC-5 scheme. Overall an extremely comfortable helmet.

Yea I love mine. My previous helmet was an HJC and the visor is so much more solid. It doesn't flex in half when you try to open it like the HJC does. Also the optical clarity of the Shoei is better imo then the HJC.

    Shoei RF-1000

Got an RF1000 for Xmas, the few times I've ridden with it have proven it to be vastly superior to the KBC it replaced. The KBC will have a new use in the form of car club racing!

    Shoei RF-1000

Excellent price. I will be getting the solid black RF1000. I have an RF900 now and I like that helmet so the 1000 will be a step up. I have been looking at the RF1000 for a while now and with this price and I'm in the market for a second lid I can't pass it up.

    Thanks for the link.

    Shoei RF-1000

NO problem man, glad you do like the shoei and saved some money, I love my shoei helmet, I actually was at the dealership yestoday buying a oil filter, and tried on a scorpion, first impression was damn this thing is heavy, at this local dealership there pushing to sell the scorpion helmet ,the profit margin most be okay I guess, the sales guy actually talked a kid, who had just put a deposit on his bike, to get a scorpion instead of the RF-1000

I have no problem with the Scorpion helmets, and for the price they are great, but compared to the Shoei they don't measure up.
