I've got a disc lock on the front rotor. Bitches if you move the bike. 2 seconds max to get on or off, can't really hurt. I don't think the alarm portion is overly useful as it's not too terribly loud, but it does keep the bike from rolling, which makes it less convenient to steal. It's a "can't hurt" kind of thing to me.

yea i was looking into those a little bit...seems like more of an alarm to scare away anyone moving it than an alarm to wake you up at night or something.

    thanks

well if you don't want to go for a full alarm install check out this lock W/ a paging alarm, simply with long distance alert

P.S.: good luck with the new bike

    Re: FINALLY...got my new bike

For the price of a good alarm couldn't you just get Lojack? I haven't priced either alarms or lojack recently but just something to think about. Seems like lojack would have better odds of getting your bike back but I'm just speculating here.

Oh, and congrats on the GSXR. Welcome to the club. Once you go GSXR, you never go back.

Sucks about the bike...Hyannis isnt a bad place..More to do in that town then most of them on the Cape. My Parents live in Centerville just the next town over.

Oh and for alarm, I had one on my 636, umm, if they're gonna steal the bike, that aint gonna stop them. Only time I used it was when I parked it at school so no body would sit on it or anything.
