since this is the first time I will have done an inspection in this state of MA. It there any place where I should not take me bike to be inspected?
I go to a local general bike repair shop that works mainly on v-twin cruisers (not necessarily Harleys) and he actually goes through the basic stuff to make sure it all works (lights, directionals, horn, tires, brake pad wear)
He doesn't get picky about exhaust or where directionals are.
I just like to use a sharpie to change the date and if necessary, change the color of the sticker
Oh I've already been asked twice about it, once by a NH sheriff and last year by a Rockport sheriff as to why I decided I was special anough to not have one.. both times we came to a mutual agreement that I was an idiot and the bike could not and would not pass an inspection.
It's not from a lack of want, the bike just won't pass. I've tried 3 times now and gave up.
