Must've touched a nerve.
Me: "Normal people wouldn't do this."
Peter: "First you have to operationalize with normal is."
That wasn't a nerve...:

You have got to be a accountant. Get over the numbers. If thats all your going to think about, then dont ride on the track. Yeah its dangerous, we all get it.

I actually kinda like knowing generally how likely it is to crash or be crashed into... if it was closer to 20 out of every 75 people per day I don't think people would find this thread as dumb. I know I sure as hell would think twice before doing another trackday if it seemed like 1/4 of the people there crashed. FWIW
and ya I know a ton of other factors contribute but knowing for the most part its 3-5 per 75ish makes me feel a hell of a lot better than hearing say 20-30 ;per 75

There may be more chance of crashing at the track, but I'd rather bin it at the track than on the damn highway.
Have you compared the likelyhood of injury/death of crashing at the track vs. crashing on the street?

maybe you should add variables in if you can ride well or noti think theres only 2 things u need to think about.. how hard you want to push your ability... and are you willing to scrap a bike if you do so...
that is all
You need ta practice walking before you can run.

lmfao..
as mentioned, any collection of data gathered to produce an average measurement can be further broken down to an infinite number of averages within.
From track day crashes to: month, day, time of day, experience, bike type, bikes on track,gender,race... anything you can think of.
the data collected within this thread of responses is an average..
extremely general but an average nonetheless.... perhaps totally irrelevant to most...depending on what ur trying to measure....

I've never seen a rider go down during a track day. But who knows what goes on in the various trailers or the rest room stalls....
I have seen a lot of big ass shit eating grins so maybe that explains it...???? (And some people seem really sleepy and tired after lunch...?)

If I did 2 last year and Pete went down on me 3 times how does that average out?
