MADE YA LOOK!
I know PA is not part of New England, but I figured I may as well post this tidbit of information I just came across. I have been considering if I should take the MSF course while I am at school in Vermont, or if I should wait till I go home and take it with my old man. The case has been closed, because IF YOU ARE A PA RESIDENT, THE BASIC RIDER COURSE IS FREE!
Anyway, I just figured I'd pass this on to everyone since there could be somebody out there in the same situation as me.

This is true, but they are booked through a central location and are VERY VERY hard to get into.
If you plan to take it, find out what day they open registration and call right when they open.
Things may have changed, but that is how it was when I lived there about 7 years ago and tried to take it.
EVERYTHING is a repost

the internet has revolutionized things! I can register for the class on a certain date, and if you are one of the first 6 or 12 in some cases, you are guaranteed a seat in the class. Following this, all you have to do is show up 30min before the first class so they know you are actually coming to class, and they won't give your seat up to a person on the waiting list.

if you run into Dave Surgenor in PA, tell him I said hi. He's the director of the program down there.
