Does anyone know what happened to BB? I follow motorcycle racing pretty closely, but I have not seen, anwhere that he has signed with any team. All of the other big names attended the tire tests in Daytona, but he was absent. Did he get another ride in WSB?
AMA looks to have some great riders in the series, this year, anyone of whom could take the title away from Mladin.
All motorcycle roadracing looks real exciting, this year!!!!!!

He's riding for Renegade Honda in WSB on a CBR1000 I believe.
It's a kittted CBR, not a full HRC bike.
Putting his hands in the air, like he just doesn't care.

So now he will have to learn how to ride fast on the Pirelli tires. He never seemed to get comfortable on Michelins during his first season in WSB.

He's was a Dunlop guy for years, plus he was learning new tracks and a different lifestyle.
His time on the semi-factory NCR Ducati in his second season was actually more productive.

he was rock climbing on Speedvision on 2 wheel Tuesday.
Damn good at it too.
2001 RC51!!!
2007 Husky SMR 510 - no longer... blown tranny
Both Ben and Eric do alot of rock climbing. I think they even have a practice wall in their home. I guess it really helps them to stay in good shape for racing.

I was a fan of the Bostroms. It sucks to see them both floundering a bit. At one point they looked poised to be the best riders in the USA. I wonder what happened (other that switching teams, bikes, and tires too much)??
As for the next AMA season, It's still pathetic. They gained Hodgeson and lost Bostrom. Less than 10 riders able to win (or even finish on the same lap as the winner) is NOT a good field. They need to DROP Superstock, or make it a feeder class for new talent. They also need to DROP Formula Extreme altogether and add a twins class or SOMETHING different.
There's enough talent here to have ONE good class. They are split into FOUR classes (2 of which are redundant) right now, and it makes the whole thing look amatuerish at best.
I know you're talking about WSB but I thought I'd read that American Honda had decided not to work with HRC this coming year so none of the bikes are going to be HRC Kit?
Something to do with not wanting to have to wait for the turnaround time to get japan to update parts.
I have to agree with you on the class redundancy with regard to Superbike and Superstock. But, I do think that the talent pool in AMA roadracing, this year, is deeper than it has been for many years. Can it improve? ABSOLUTELY, but it is looking good for the 2005 season. Unfortunately, there are too few venues on the calendar. There needs to be at least 3 more events to bring the AMA to the same level as WSB or even BSB. Hopefully, the people in charge will finally get it together and make the series more respectable and do more to encourage increased factory support. That will bring in even more rider talent, and make for a much more enjoyable show for fans. I also think that the AMA needs to do much more to promote the series to bring in a broader fan base.
