I'm riding my GSXR 600 and enjoying it a lot.
As soon as i bought it I started saving up for the next bike, hopefuly i can get it in about a year and perhaps turn the gsxr into a track bike (planning to go to racing school and take a course)
Some of the bikes I've been looking at for next street bike are.
1. GSXR 750
2. Aprilia RSV Mille
3. Honda CBR929RR
4. Yamaha R1
suggestions ?![]()
I should also add that I'm a pretty patient and careful rider, and dont pull wheelies at 10PM in the middle of Boston Common while wearing Sandals , a tshirt and shades.

( I know its to early to start thinking about the next bike, cause i just got this one a month ago, but I like to plan ahead and know what I'm saving up for!)

did you put your flame suit on?
i'd say trust your instinct. doesn't work 100% of the time for me, but keeps me happy. i know these bastards gonna say "inexperience giving advice to inexperience".![]()
"fuckit!"
If i had the money i would have prolly bought a cbr929 a co-worker was selling, but than again I might have allready killed myself.

Be happy with what you got, why move on so soon. That gixxer is a sweet bike. Give yourself awhile with the 600 then move on to the 750 when you think your ready.
I am happy, just dreaming about something brand spanking new in the future, work with me here![]()

I know how you feel. I bought a used 2001 R1 2 months ago and I am looking at the 2004 Yamaha R1. Save up til you really want that brand spanking new ride man. No need to rush. Give it alot of time with that gsxr600 1st.Originally posted by Borislav

I think your list of bikes needs some tuning. For one, you can't get a brand spankin new 929 since they haven't made one since 01. There is also a lot of differences between the ones you listed such as twin vs. in line 4 and 18k vs. 10k. There is also a big power difference between the bikes. I would say ride as many bikes as you can and see which one you enjoy the most. Unfortunately you can't really get test rides on the newer bikes so you'll have to make some friends and give their bikes a rip if they will let you.
Typo, i meant a CBR954 for the Honda
And a 2001 Apprilia (i can't afford that brand spanking new) I've seen for 8 grand in immaculate shape.

Never seen one of those. Must be because they're so fast.Originally posted by Borislav

If you mean a Honda 954 then you'll be able to get one of those brand new for 8k next year. If you meant a 998 you won't. I think you definitely need to do some more research though.
so i dont know the exact cc for the fireblade.... bah
u know the one i meen![]()

If thats your 600 in your Avatar.Very nice. That would be a great track bike. Save up all you can for a new one in the future, but ride that 600 on the steet as much as you can before you jump into a much more powerfull machine.. I say go V-Twin, they rock. Super power/handling! I love mine.. I've only had it a month and a half and already put 2600 miles on it!
Good Luck.

RIP A.B. RIP BEET, I Ride in Leathers because I would rather sweat than Bleed...
I dont have a digital camera but my bike is basically identical to the one in the pic, ssept for the front wheel ( its not white ), i need to spray pain it, the back one is white though, and also i have a Yoshi exhaust and a scratch or to on the plastic but its not really notisable unless you inspect it carefully.
It's probobly gonna be a toss-up between the RSV Mille and the GSXR 750 for my next bike, and the current bike is gonna become a track bike ( after i take the class and learn more about riding on the track )
I don't think I'll be getting an inline 4 litter bike.... Just no need for it, the gsxr 750 however is a nice bike that's not 1000cc but is a bit more power and a little bigger sizewise... the 600 is just a tid bit to small... but i think ill be riding it for about a year or 2 before i get my new one....
Like i said i'm just thinking about my options for the future.
