I made a deal to replace the Honda F6b yesterday.
Anyone have a guess?
A little 20 questions?

A Full Wing
Close but so far not correct.
AT too dirty, full wing wrong direction, 'busa required response but I would neve use all that power.
Ok you are edging toward a fire road compatible touring mount. Let's see Multi Enduro/ regular multi strudel
a Yamaha Tenere. A Versys.

Chipper bingo!
Let the criticism commence!
You gotta criticize it for us. That's how it works.

We'll see when I start living with it in a couple of weeks.
What do I get for my guess of the VFR?
(It wasnt that hard Steve. You had one before, strayed, but one can only stray so long....)

Let us know your impressions. My thoughts are that it is a competitor to the r1200gs but with a different engine. I love my 2007 VFR (I think your had the same)!
Will do, I expect it within 2 weeks.
I took my 07 VFR cross country and also had '99, '00 ans '06 VFR's. I still have a real soft spot for them and test rode a 2014 VFR800Dlx. It is a great bike, but at 56, I can't see myself living with it every day for commuting and longer trips.
I am hopeful that the VFR1200X will bring the V$ engine character in a package of better ergos for me. It will sacrifice some of the flickability of the VFR800. When I test rode the VR1200X, the throttle response was immediate, even a bit abrupt, down low and the higher feel will take some getting used to compared to the F6b. It did cruise very comfortable on the highway at 80-85. Here are the things I'd like it to do.
During the week:
1. Be a good commuter for my brief 20 mile, no highway ride each way. Good sight lines in traffic, manageable at stoplights.
2. Be a bike I want to jump on for a quick hour after work on day's I don't commute, it shouldn't feel like work taking it out. (this is where the F6b really excels, hop on, go, cruise around effortlessly)
Weekends/day trips:
1. Be able to efficiently and comfortably get me "out-of-town" to fun riding. (For me that means +/- 75 miles highway from home to truly begin a "ride")
2. Encourage me to turn off the GPS and wander, seeking out bad pavement, hardpack rather than avoiding it. (This is where I expect the VFR1200X to Excel)
3. Treat my butt, back, knees and wrists reasonably well on a 500 mile day. (I'm a little concerned about this because the F6b made this almost too easy.
Multi-day/long trips:
1. Comfort on the third 500 mile day in a row.
2. Good wind and heat management. (The F6b provided a cockpit that did not move enough air on hot days when I was wearing a 'stich)
3. Reliability (Honda, Duh)
