I have monday off and want to get some highway time in, just for the practice. What's a good bike gear shop that I can ride to, maybe 30-50 miles away or so, on the highway? I'm in Waltham, and looking for bargains on commuting gear.

Brockton Cycle center, main street, Brockton. About a mile or two from them is bettencourt's Honda/Suzuki. Smaller shop but more friendly.
If you are looking for Rev'it gear they carry it up at Seacoast Sport Cycle in Salem.

Thanks for the Brockton reccomendation, that place rocked! I ended up getting a nice leather jacket for $79, like this one but with grey instead of the green. Raider Trakstar Leather Motorcycle jacket from Street Apparel
They also had them in blue, red, yellow, and silver. Not quite track-worthy since there are no attachment zippers, and the armor is cheesy, but for that price I can afford to upgrade the armor... although the leather's so thick I'm not sure that I'll need to bother.
There was plenty of other stuff there that I wanted to buy also... maybe next time.

It's a holiday for alot of businesses in MASS. Call ahead of time, but Brockton will defiintily have the best year end deals starting now.
