Is my bike legal?

I have a few questions about the legality of my bike and how much its enforced.

I have an '01 SV with a fender elim, clear lenses all around, short stalks up front, and flushmounts on the tail.

I dont currently have a license plate light, but I intend on changing that.

Are the rest of my mods going to get me a ticket or inspection failure?

I am asking cause I don't want to give an LEO a reason to pull me over or give me a ticket. Its not that I am carrying anything illegal, I just dont like fines.

Completely unrelated question: Where would I post pictures and descriptions of mods that I am in the process of?

How tough are the sticker joints around your area?
My plate lights has been out for like the last two inspections. Of course for one of those the guy didn't even turn the key on!

I guess they are ok. The SV was stock during the last inspection, but I know they were fairly thorough. I bought my bike at the dealer where I get it checked out, so that might be an advantage

Yah depends on where you go.

2nd time I got my SV inspected they didn't start the key.

3rd time they caught a leaky fork seal and failed me.

Bring it to a Harley Joint.. Most choppers don't even have mufflers or directionals.. Either way those mods are not enough to get you pulled over..

for what it's worth I haven''t inspected a bike EVER!!!! And a cop has never asked about it..

I second that....I've never inspected any of my bikes and have never been questioned about it.

AND trust me.....I've been stopped.

I wouldn't worry about that stuff. If you're nervous about it passing, take it to an independant mechanic that also does inspections...

if you wanna get technical, then yes, they're probably illegal.
won't get you pulled over, but if you get nabbed for some other reason and the cop's being a prick, he could really bend you over for 'em.

99.9% of the cops won't pull you for that stuff. The only thing that might is the lack of a plate light if one gets behind you at night.
I second the independent shop or a hog shop for inspections.
