So I read I should remove my mirrors and tape all the lights. What type of tape do you use to cover the headlights and tail lights? Thanks!![]()

just regular duct tape is fine. goo-gone should remove any residue after you peel it off for the street again.

Also, pull the fuses or bulbs from the lights you'll be covering up. It'll make getting the tape & goo off MUCh easier!
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
and why is that? Is it that the heat from the lights will make the glue to stick even more to the plastics? The bulbs are a pain in the a$$ to put on or remove...Originally posted by Stoneman

I use wide electrical tape instead of duct tape. Duct tape uses a really messy goey adhesive, electrical tape comes off clean.

Yep, the heat from your headlight can cook the tape on and be a real pain in ass to remove.Originally posted by MissTwisties

If you know where the fuses or connectors are it's easier than opening lights and removing bulbs; just a simple disconnection of two wires before inspection, then reconnect when day is over.
