My bike, a quick pictorial

Hey guys, Just wanted to toss up a couple pics of the life of my bike, show you guys how it ended up the way it is. I have been a Yamaha FZR fan since my first one in college, which i nicely deposited into the side of a Cadillac(her fault, turn left in front of me). Helmet saved my life that day. so after a few years, i decided i would buy another one, same bike (lightning theory, wont total 2 of the exact same bike twice!). relatively stock, with a couple upgrades, then the mod bug bit me, and she bit hard! I have owned this bike for a littl over 6 years, and the bulk of the transformation went on last year, well, here she is.

bought a 2nd one for wife, sold it 2 months later, R6 tail on


Duc upper, gsxr belly, r1 front fender, cut fzr sides, fitment


veypor guage


got her together, r6 shorty can, quick paint


bought an FZR400 race bike for the aluminum frame


coming apart, and fitment of the TZR250 swingarm and 17"rim


got some work to do!


had a baby! hung from the garage ceiling for most of the rest of the year like this!


so close, the shock linkage was a tough one to figure out.


got her together and running, so no better time than to change out the tank and make a seat cowl!

FZR600 motor, FZR400 frame, TZR250 singarm and 17"rear rim, CF hugger, FZR400 front forks with progressive springs and preload adjusters, R1 front fender, R6 master cylinder and front brakes, Veypor gauge, daytone digital temp guage, FZR400rrsp tank, R6 subframe and tail, custom rearsets, R6 rear shock, r6 shorty can, V&H header, Duc upper, cut down FZR midpanels, GSXR belly pan.

yes i realize i will be getting comments on that one!

she will come apart this winter for fairing fixes and repaint and general maintenance/repair, but otherwise runs like a top, when i dont lose my keys...

Jim you forgot to mention the silver/red Fizzer ended up with me. And of course I fixed it right. j/k Looking forward to seeing the FZR 4/6 Duc/Gixxer wtf Frankenbike all polished and freshly painted! btw you missed Bike night in Lowell, it was chaps night

nice man! i do actually really like the look of a stock FZR. You are/where on the Archives right? I'm on FZRonline a descent amount now, if you havent already, you should check it out. is like the archives used to be.
