...yeah...and, notice where he's looking. I commented in another thread that Rossi claims NOT to look way into the turn. Not saying WE shouldnt look well ahead in the turn but just that Rossi doesnt all the time. And this pic seems to support that....

Great picture BUT the kerbing is about 8" higher than the apex and it is a banked turn.

Still a great picture, but if you're gonna get your elbow down, that's the turn to do it in most easily.

Plus with all the electronic gizmos on their bikes apparently it's not half as nerve racking as it used to be to get to that point.

AGV helmets are known for having a low visor, making it look like the wearer is looking down.

The electronics don't help with midcorner speed/lean angle. That's still as crazy as always has been. The electronics make entering the corner (electronic slipper clutch/engine braking management) and exiting the corner (traction/wheelie control) less dramatic.

Wouldn't that mean they can carry more corner speed/angle because they can enter and exit the corner more confidently/faster?

The less skilled (relatively) riders can get to the limits more easily, yes. Lean angle/corner speed are still limited by traction (tires/chassis/suspension). The best riders (and I think Rossi is possibly the best) can still reach the limits of available traction with or without the aid of electronics.
