    New bike - great surprise from my wife

    Went to the local shop over the weekend to show my wife the 636 they had on the floor. Before I saw that one I spotted another one, fresh out of the crate, with my name on it. Definitely the best surprise I have had in a long time. She knew I had been checking those things out for some time, called my friend at the dealership, and got it done.

    Putting some serious time in now trying to come up with the perfect valentine's gift for her.

    About a week and a half ago, I was telling my wife that I was thinking of getting a track bike. Later that night, she said "If you get another motorcycle, I get a closet rod in the spare bedroom closet!"

    Deal. CBR came home last week, Rubbermaid closet shelf system is in my Amazon shopping cart as I type.

    question though: I'm not married, so I never understood how this could be a complete surprise - did she buy, pay for it (with presumably money that's shared?), sign it under her name, add it an insurance policy (that is also presumably shared?) all without you knowing?

    Fair question - shared money, she bought it and started the paperwork then when I went to the dealer I signed the paperwork and did the insurance change. So the surprise was that even though I was really leaning toward getting it, kicking tires, back and forth reading tests, sitting on it etc, she just went ahead and had them make it mine.
