I've been sort of interested in these since they came out. But the small capacity gas tank, composite, with potential expansion problems, has put me off.

Maybe the later model XR1200x would get my interest a little bit, though.

That’s the no title portion that was left out, 32k miles didn’t help.
I’ve followed a few clean low mile R1’s recently, first message exchanges are usually “I lost the title, bike is priced accordingly so don’t ask if I can get it”.

Makes sense. On that note I saw online recently that one of the Dakotas (maybe South Dakota) has replaced Vermont as a title "cleaning" facilitator, can anyone confirm this?

Edit: Did some brief research and came across this site, appears South Dakota is an option, this site seems to offer to perform the registration for you (I assume for a fee). https://www.dirtlegal.com/blog/2021/...-inspections-1

True that, but such a great ride ... I could be tempted to get one again. Plan on upgrading the lighting -- the taillamp is like a dim, glowing ember, and your phone is brighter than the headlight.

Bunch of these FS now on FB. The 1100 in ME that I posted recently looked to be a good deal at $2500 (belt and valve service? service the Ohlins?), AND here's another decent one IMO, says recent belt and valve service, full luggage, Corbin, etc.
