And I wasn't the only one left on the side of the road out of the group either. Too much Polaris in them at the time I felt. I remember the engine cases had gobs of rtv spilling out of them on brand new machines. I didn't even look at another cruiser again until my wife showed up with a Sportster as my anniversary gift about 10 years later.

As I tried to avoid the Harley brand when I was looking at getting back on a motorcycle, I kicked tires on a few Victories. I loved the look of some of them, but the quality just seemed so...meh. Some of them looked so badass from a distance, but once up close and going over them, they just looked cheap and hastily slapped together.

I was very close to owning one of these before I bought the Lowrider.
Re: The Best bikes on Craigslist
Kinda *rare* Ducati, the color anyway -- seems like a good project, he keeps dropping the price, now at $2800. (In Glens Falls NY, too far for me.) I've owned two of these, a great ride, the look, the sound, the whole Ducati experience. You need patience working around the body work. Good looking Duc S2R 800, reasonable price, not much info tho. Only 2700 miles, maybe it's never had belt & valve service?

... and another one, also in ME, higher miles. No pics of the right side.

I had a couple of these same year/color. If this is pricing reality (it’s not) then I should have kept them!!

Pretty sure I've mentioned this. I was THIS close to getting one of these instead of that Low Rider I bought a few years ago.

It's not really low for a big honkin' Vtwin. I think my Street Glide is like, 5500 or 6000.
Re: The Best bikes on Craigslist
Thought my Duc was low at 8,700, guess not....

This is the cleanest ex500 I've seen in a long time and cheap too.
