I put the bike in a friend's garage yesterday..sad day. It was like 5 degrees out and just started snowing, but it still felt good to ride once more this year. Took me a good 30 mins to thaw the ignition and get it started. Battery seemed dead after about 5 attempts to start and I was going to jump it when I tried it again and worked. When I got to his house, the slightly sloped driveway was covered in packed snow/ice from ~week ago and the SV handled it fine. Then my key was stuck in the ignition when I got there ha! Time for some winter bike maintenance.

I got 8.5 inches just outside Boston. Fuel stabilizer will go in the bike as soon as I thaw the ignition so I can unlock the gas cap. I put the battery on the trickle charger last winter, but I'll probably just replace with a new one in the spring.
My bikes have been put away since the thermometer dipped below 60 degrees...![]()

I am with you all on the sadness of putting the bikes away for several months. I would usually use the winter time to do some mods to the bikes so they will be better next season but this winter I have to spend as little as possible. There are 4 bikes all tucked in tight in my warm basement just waiting for tax return time to have some new accessories added. I am glad to have found this forum to help me pass the time during the cold months and still share the love of our sport with you all. Glad to of have found you all Merry Christmas! and come on spring time (or a couple of nice warm days)
My landlord keeps his GTO in my garage... And wont let me keep the bike in there behind it because he takes it out for a spin once every god damn 2 months. He's such a touch hole...
So I gotta throw my bike in a shitty shed in the backyard with a rotten plywood floor. Luckily there is a power outlet in there at least. Gas has been treated, but a cover and battery tender is on the wishlist for christmas...
