I used some Motion Pro clear pvc fuel line for my brake fluid reservoir line. I've noticed that it seems to be sweating. And the "condensation" is not water. Feels like brake fluid!
It doesn't seem to be losing any fluid at this time and the brakes are still hard. Is it possible that brake fluid is weeping through the tubing? The tubing be noncompatible with brake fluid?
I've never seen this before and I'm thinking this hose was wrong to use. Shame because I got a box full of it.

If you want clear hose, you're going to have to use a silicon hose. Otherwise, you'll need EPDM rubber hose. Pretty much anything else will sweat.
But is the sweat just water.... Although it doesn't feel like water or is it brake fluid?
I just might order some new clear silicon hose just to be safe.

It's likely a mix of brake fluid and moisture. The clear tubing for my MityVac will "sweat" as well as start to appear cloudy if it's been stored for a while. Been using it for many years without issue so, unless it's starting to collapse, I'd say keep on using it.
Thanks for the information. I was unaware of the reaction.

there's no way I'd continue to use that. brakes aren't a place to skimp.
