Did BoMo TD yesterday and I was in some new leathers. Damned they were tough to move around the bike in.
I was not able to get off the bike correctly due to this and it was bugging me all day. I literally almost went in the showers with my gear on to soak them and try to get them to loosen up.
Any suggestions? I have Tony's & BoMo TD on M-T-W next week and hope they are softer & more flexible.
Also, the hump on the back, does it do anything,(safety wise) or is it more for aerodynamics?
Or ride through a car wash. Just make sure you video tape it!

don't know, I bet I walked by ya a couple times though. I was checking out bikes all day. I was in the second bay, next to where GMD usually is. had the R^ with new plastic's on it...Honda Repsol suit....looked like s stuffed sausage in the thing...
Should have wore my NESR shirt!![]()
So soaking them in the shower is the quickest way then.....
I took 'em out for a ride in the rain one night, like you told me too. Actually turned out to be a good ride. Don't know if getting them wet helped any, since it was first time wearing the suit out for an extended period of time. Also, I dumped the Icon vest, it just wasn't fitting underneath. I got an a-stars back protector, works much better.
On a side note, should be interesting with us both at next Wednesday's track day...gonna look like team Repsol is rolling through town...

The hump is mostly for aerodynamics but also serves a second [urpose of keeping your neck from snapping back too far
If all else fails, Lean more....
That hump was killing me thru the bowl and a couple other spots, it is too high up on my back and was not allowing me to look "Up thru the turn" as it was pushing my helmet down over my eyes when I was looking up the hill. I kept going thru that area praying no one dumped in front of me. tuff to see..hahaha
Looks like I am soaking in the tub tonight for a few minutes and then ridding....
Are you running a back protector underneath? the reason I ask is that when I wore my Dainese suit, with the BP underneath, the suit seemed to ride up my neck a bit and really pissed me off. My 2pc alpinestars did not do this...
If all else fails, Lean more....
Yes I run a hard back protector underneath the suit. I am going to take the hump out tonight and get it repaired later after I do the TD's....
That is the only way I know of that works quickly. I would be wearing that suit as much as possible If I were you.I took 'em out for a ride in the rain one night, like you told me too. Actually turned out to be a good ride. Don't know if getting them wet helped any, since it was first time wearing the suit out for an extended period of time.
Yip, water. Ya gotta put it on and work it around a bit by stretching, bending, etc., to loosen 'er up while it's wet though. 'Crumbling' it up either dry or wet helps a lot too...
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
lol just put it on and wear it around the house as soon as you get home thats what i did with mine. Although the fieldsheers really didn't need much breaking in to begin with... IDK
I saw some "leather conditioning rings" that were heavy and meant to pound the leather. I'm not sure how well those would work, or if you should use them on anything with the armor still in it. To top it off, the wife will shoot you after you destroy her drier.
If the water trick works, a nice dry day with little humidity and a shower before leaving in the AM would probably dry them out before you get home. Though wet leather sucks...not being able to see or move sucks even more.
And if they bleed, you'll be pretty silly looking...take pics if they bleed too![]()
I am sure this is a re post but it still made me laugh.....
