    Antone tow with a Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade

Looks like my Titan may sell so I need to set the Escalade up for towing.

Anyone here tow with a Tahoe/Yukon or Escalade (with 22's baby!)?

Any Issues or things to be concerend about?

Its the normal version, not the elongated one....thanks.

Make sure you put some chrome rims on the trailer, preferably with spinners. If youre gonna ball, you gotta go all out.

No matter the vehicle make sure it's set up to pull a trailer. Basically anything bigger then the harbor freight trailer I'd make sure there is a transmission cooler. Going from a truck to an SUV - you'll run into visibility issues when you go to hook up. If your luck is anything like mine no one is ever around when you need to do this...

I towed up to Louden from CT for the August TTD's with an Escalade EXT - and yes, it had 24's!! I towed 2 dudes, 3 bikes - 1 in the bed and 2 on a harbor freight trailer, and all the accessories. The truck usually gets 15 mpg, but with everything, it got 14.2 both ways. The truck didn't even feel the extra cargo. I used the class 2 hitch that came on the truck. Anything else you need to know? This was a one shot deal, but you shouldn't have ANY problems. Here's a pic...

Yea, class 2. I think it is a 2" square tounge or something like that. I had to get the autozone adapter for the electrical connections, also. I think it was 10 beans.

I believe class II is a 1 and 1/4 inch hole not 2 inches...

Re: Antone tow with a Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade

Why are you worried about it? A Escalade/Denali is basically the same thing as a 1/2 ton GM truck, depending on the year you might be stuck with full time AWD. You just have a bunch of fancy shit bolted on, it doesn't really affect the towing part of the truck. I've put way more than the "max" payload in my Denali before with no problems from it.

If I had a 1/2 ton GM truck and knew about its towing capabilities and also knew it was "basically" the same as the suv i have then I wouldnt be asking but since I don't and didn't, I am. Discuss.

It's probably all set up for towing already. Most already have a trans cooler and are good for at least 6000lb depending on the gear ratio.

Shoot me the VIN number and I can run it and tell you exactly what it's got. I work at a Caddy dealer.

    Good to know.

I know that it should be no problem, but real world experience and what the salesman say are 2 different things.
