Stow.....in a place like Stow you know the Police dont have much to do....I go apple picking there and I always see them pulling people over for stupid shit....So when you ride through that town you better watch your self.the last crime there was back in 2000 when someone stole a santa off a front ard and it made the news...so you figure a bike speeding may be a criminal offense.
It comes down to, were you riding over the posted speed?
If not fight it.

I've had bullshit tickets I've fought and had others that I rightly deserved and fought just to try and get a reduction in the fine. But if I am over the posted speed limit I'm not going to cry about it and call it racist because the cop isn't Portuguese…

hey kham, i feel your pain. i got 1 in my cage about a month ago for lane violation and failure to signal. then 2 weeks ago i got one on the bike from a statey. then last week, i got one from a town cop. the bullshit thing is that im a firefighter in the town, and he still gave me one. i was bullshit. he said i was going 65 in a 30. i told him that was impossible, and i was keeping up with traffic, not passing anyone. i think some cops, not all, see bikes and just assume we are speeding or doing something wrong. now i have to drive like a pussy everywhere i go, to avoid getting pulled over. it sucks

I got a ticket for douing 51 in a 30. I was speeding and breaking the law. Seems like you were doing the same.
Don't want any more tickets? Slow down. If you can't ride slow then giving up riding seems like a pretty rational decision.

I think the point here is that yes, of course it sucks getting speeding tickets, but you simply can't piss and moan about it. Its a fact of life when you ride fast on the street, and its one of the chances you take.
However, I think speed laws are mainly a revenue grab for municipalities and states. (Yes, I know they are for safety as well, but I honestly dont think that is their primary goal.) Therefore, I have always looked at speeding tickets as the beginning of a negotiation. I have a clean license after a number of tickets, I just paid a lot of fines that were plead down to no-points violations. I learned a lesson, lost some money, and the government can continue to pave the roads and pay for traffic patrol.
