friggen blast
rented a scooter in socal...yamaha zuma 125, cost ~$90 for day rental + insurance
I loooovvved it
just like riding a 250 @ NHMS - no power, no suspension, no clearance (scooters scrape pretty easily) - focus on picking the right line and hanging off the scoot to keep the bike upright!

Scooters are a Hoot......clutch Kinda slows them down though

When I was in college or thereabouts (ahem, 1980's, ahem), we used to do that on old Vespas (mostly '60's vintage), on the twisty roads up above Santa Barbara, CA. Great fun.

a couple guys were on Vespas...one of them told me the older ones were rad - manual transmission, 2-stroke!

I had a zuma 50 a few years ago. I wish I had kept it. It was a blast despite the lack of speed. I still took it on all the twisties. You can have a blast with little bikes and scoots
Yep, that's what we had. 4-spd manual, shifting done with left handset, 2-strokes mostly from 125cc to 200cc. Practically no weight on the front, so wheelies were everywhere. The engine on those is mounted on the swingarm, and is thus unsprung weight, and is also off-center, which can make for some entertaining handling characteristics. Lots o' fun.

took a few weeks, but my friend sent me a picture of MEEEEEEEEEEEE
I'm stoked...because in 90% of my pictures from rides, I'm the one with the camera (or gopro), so I'm never in the pics!
