Cool write up on the parts washer - I am interested in your fan setup. What sort of fan did you use? I am building a spray booth in my garage and have not begun venting it yet.
Nice, but I'll throw a few quesions at ya, where did you aquire free S/S screen, that's not something you run across in every dumpster.
What is your fluid bin made of ? After awile plastics go south , get brittle and crack with chemicals. Leak, make mess
Somethingsyou mite want to think about, balance , what happens when it gets tipped over ?
And a lid , all of the stuff that didn't evaporate is stil flammable, do you have a cover that seals good enough to squish a fire ?
I'm only pointing out these things because I know from experiance, that the unexpected happens.
I to am somewhat of a dumpster diver. I save and repurpose things . And I thought enough to save up $70 and buy a washer with a pump, lite, sturdy base with 4 legs, and a lid that has a melt away safty latch to shut and suffocate a fire. Just seemed like safer way to go. But I love the steel grate you made , did you bend that on a brake that you made out of an old bed frame ?
Beat It Like A Rented Mule !!
Legend in my own mind
So jealous of your setup!
my favorite part? how you "designed it to be at working level" - 3 milk crates.
seriously, though, great ingenuity. the 90 degree vent setup was clever. i was wondering how you handled the fumes til i read that part.
Steve is at his best
I've been thinking about a stainless steel sink set up.

I don't soak anything, just spray..so the bin doesn't really hold cleaner it's just the runoff, I empty it often, open the bulkhead doors and clear the fumes with the huge fan!!! It's safe!!
Trust me that fan has seen it's share of paint fumes....just ask these clowns
