I could do that if someone wants to trade!
I want to see if I can get up to amateur times on it though, just to see if it can be done. Haven't ever ridden an SV but I've heard the hype. Specs aren't too different if you look closely.
Here's a comparison:
Superhawk:
Rake: 24.9 degrees
Trail: 3.7"
Wheelbase: 56"
Wet weight: 460#
Power: 103 hp
Sv650:
Rake: 25 degrees
Trail: 4"
Wheelbase: 55.9"
Wet weight: 417#
Power: 72 hp
@JC I'll be doing a supermoto conversion to my TM over the winter so I can race in the LW classes without buying another bike, so I'll be doubly crazy racing a superhawk and a two stroke supermoto!
Then after next season if the bikes are really holding me back I'll get real race bikes.

when i worked the gas pumps as a teen in CT we used to know a nutjob (named Cleary) that would do this in his vintage pick-up every time he drove by the station ... hilarious

In my derelict youth a friend had a shitty '82ish Buick Electra with a 307 in it. Park in a crowded lot, rev it up to redline and cut the key. Get out and walk away, about 30 seconds later it would light off with what sounded like a shotgun blast. The muffler gave it up after a surprising number of performances, but it was huge fun while it lasted.

Yes, over the winter I somehow managed to pick up a track prepped 07 cbr600rr and a gen1 sv650, so I put the superhawk up for sale at a "too high to sell" price to see if anyone will bite. Mostly because I'm really not sure what to do with this bike now! It's super fun at the track but I doubt it will get much use this season, and other bikes I have are much better for the street.
I'm open to ideas. Thinking maybe a flat tracker conversion, keep it as a 3rd track bike, who knows!
