how to check vin numbers on bikes ?

Just wondering how to check if a bike is a clean title or not , Is there like a carfax.com or something that works in a similiar manner ?

Me either , Lol , I dunno if there is something like that , how do dealerships check their trade in's if they are clean or rebuilt title ?

found out some info on checking the vins , it says you call up the registry with the vin number and ask them if you can register this vehicle in your state. It works , kinda because In MA you can't register Salvage title vehicles . . . but I think you can still registery rebuilt titles , so I dunno , Atleast you know it's not salvage.

carfax doesn't work for bikes. I've tried it several times.

I did find a site (which unfortunately I can't find again) which just told me there were no records other than the type of bike under the vin. Basiaclly said no crashes etc.

I just called up the registry a couple of mins ago , they check vin numbers for free on titles , but not history reports such as rented vehicle or something like that.
