...and that's why we dont let off the gas or hit the brakes in a FWD vehicle after turning in.
What a dumb shit.

I liked watching how fast the airbag deploys.
eh, it was just a scooter...
Well yeah but moreso in a.....wait, you know how to drive, why the hell are you asking me?
For those who might not know, lifting off or braking mid-turn is more difficult to get away with in a FWD, as seen in this video. The driver basically made this car crash from doing exactly both things you're not supposed to.
I would say you're much worse off letting off the throttle in a rear engine/mid engine rear drive car.

Oh fer cryin' out loud....
We're talking front engine cars here, are we not?
We should fight.

True, it isn't ideal in any case with the exception of AWD vehicles.
It's worse for a front engine FWD vehicle because rear wheel spin is not controllable. The instant that ass-end breaks loose there's really only one option, find the gas pedal.
P.S. I told you once already, that's not a shiv.

We watching the same thing?
Granted it doesn't show it, but the only way to induce that much rotation on a FWD car is to snap off the gas (or yank the e-brake). Even a gross steering input would be hard pressed to cause sometime to rotate like that (more likely to just wash the front end). Edit: just watched it again - dumbass had his brakes on as well. Rookie mistake.
So, basically; trailing throttle oversteer. Driver entered corner fast, got scared, snapped off throttle, sending weight forward and giving the rear a chance to swing around.
On a FWD car you only have steering to help catch the spin. Getting back on the power doesn't help as much on FWD. You basically hope you can transfer enough weight to the back to slow the yaw rate and give the steering correction enough time to take effect before you hit something. On a RWD car, you can get back on the power and try to slide it out with a much better degree of controllability. You reach the point of no return at much earlier yaw angle in a FWD car too.
Pretty much what Bergs said.
AWD? countersteer and keep it pasted to the floor. Rally style![]()
