I am in front of Fenway at a stop light on the way to work, lets say 7ish. My bike jumps about a 6inches but fast. I was in gear so the bike stalles out. At first I am thinking my clutch cable snapped? Really???? Then i notice that my bike feels like its standing up by it self. Weird. As I pick up both my feet the bike does not even move. Keep in mind this all about 2 seconds of time. Then I see a car on my rear tire. Dude got blinded by the sun and saw me at the last minute. As he stopped, his litttle bumper rolls up on my tire basically parking my bike.
If I was not in gear and hands off the grips. I am sure it would have shoved me a bit into the car in front. What a way to start the morning..... No damage just a small heart attack....![]()
Get it checked out by GMD none the less. Theres a good chance the subframe is bent. Glad to hear you're okay. Could have easily been a lot worse.

Welcome to Boston drivers.
Wait till you get to play Chicken on Storrow Drive. That's always a fun time!
That is why I always pull to the side like I'm splitting lanes. Actually I am splitting lanes most of the time but this justifies it in my mind.
Don't watch your mirrors much eh? I always keep an eye on the mirror until a car comes to a complete stop behind me, even then I glance back at it from time to time keeping an eye on the cars coming to a stop behind that car!
I always stop to one side of the lane and I always have my front tire pointing in such a way that I would not hit the car in front of me if I get rear ended.
I also watch my rear mirror to see what's going on behind me.
my mirrors suck, i see elbows.....
Soon as you crossed north of the Mason Dixon Line, you left that good ole Southern hospitality far behind. We do shit a little bit different 'round these parts.
You're lucky the idiot ONLY parked on your tire!!!
Situational awareness is vital in the city, take all necessary precautions.
Glad you're ok brother!!

Jeff...I feel your pain here. The mirrors are completely useless on the Tona, I was honestly thinking about getting bar end mirrors but I kinda like the way the stock mirrors make the bike look.
Glad to hear that you are okay and that nothing got damaged, could of been a lot worse.
