I'm no expert at the corners, but I too found my fz6 the worst at cornering. My r6 of the same year had a lowering link thatmade all the difference for me being short at 5' 6". I feared at first the handling would be ddisrupted by the link, but it handled way better. Probably due to the riding position of the height. I found that both Yamahas cornered and felt like the back end was slipping. On my Hondas they feel better, my 900rr corners nice but feels heavy as heck, probably because it is, and the 16" front tire...
Sory, I should have been more detailed. Granted, I'd also listen to the way more experienced guys who have all given you good info too.
Not only be sure your pressure is spot on, but play with it a little. Up a few psi, or down. I might go up first. Sometimes the sweet spot isn't dead on with the manf.'s spec. The same is true with car tires. And in my limited experience, motorcycle tires are way more responsive to even a single PSI change.
