UUUUMMMMM, mike, you okay? How's your tire lookin?? I think a 97 TLS without damper is the best starter bike, you know you can turn it faster without the damper![]()

"Since nobody's yet mentioned it, have you looked into taking the MSF ridercourse? There's no substitute for professional training when it comes to saving your ass, don't make me break out the statistics"
Actually i signed up for the Begginers course before I ever posted on this board!
I'm rusty atm, and I really do need to refresh my memmory on some basic stuff.
And yeah i've been looking through the wanted adds and went to a few dealerships and I've decided that I will go for a 98 or 99 YZF 600. I can prolly find one for around 3.800 in good condition since it is my first bike. After I get comfortable on that and ride for a few years I can go for my dream bike which is an Aprilia RSV MILLE. I wish I could just say the hell with it and get one now, but its a bit out of the price range and my better judgement is telling me I'd regret getting a MILLE because I'm gonna end up damaging it and having to spend big $ to get it fixed.
Anyway, you guys are great and I'm thankful for your responces. Hopefuly I'll have my bike for the next season, as I'm planning to buy it in early spring and I'll see some of you on the road.
I'll be the guy on the blue YZF 600 wearing a Shoei Shogun helm, trying to act cool!
