Cool,I'm taking mine out today for it's first real ride since being apart in my living room for 3 months.
Did you ever get your bike dyno-tuned ?
I'm looking at doing that but I have no idea where a good tuner is.
It will be getting done pretty soon... I have the map provided by graves right now so I'll see how it feels.

Just hope you don't hit a massive pothole with those BST's
Based on that list of mods it would appear that you, in fact, don't fuck around.![]()

Been putting the BST's throught the paces and gotta say...THEY ROCK! Between Sunday and monday i put around 520 miles on them with some spirited riding included, as well as an all out torture test on Hurricane Mountain Rd..
I still have a bit of suspension tweaking to do, and I'm still getting used to the quicker turn in, but i can say it feels like a different bike.
acceleration is up, braking distance is down, and i'm a believer!
The cost is justified if you consider the modifications and costs it would take through other things to get the same results. You would be adding power modifications such as exhaust, powercommander, velocity stacks etc. braking upgrades rotors, calipers, pads, etc, and you still wouldn't have the outstanding flickability that the lighter wheels offer.
I already had all of that other stuff but none of them made a difference as big as the wheels.

I want to know who you use to mount your rubber? I'd think you trust him more than your mother, with those rims! I'd be whore in church nervous, come tire change time. I can't imagine, craaaaaack, snap....
Or are they tougher than I'm imagining?

Gotta lemme know when ur headed back up to Hurricane Mntn Rd and beyond up here ill join ya. Looks wicked nice guy!!!
I was nervous but i think they are tougher than most people think... Only warning they give you about mounting is to turn the clamping pressure down slightly. Went smooth, all is well. I still may buy a hitch mount no-mar for future changes.. I really don't like the idea of having them done on the machine all the time. Even though it went well i've seen plenty of wheel damage just from people being careless.

i just hope you dont run into what i went through.
i bought all the toys for my street bike over two winters: brembo master, marchesini wheels, pro-bolt drilled bolts, galfer wave rotors, clip-ons, short levers, speedo healer, TRE, PCIII, ohlins damper, etc.
2 years later, i'm looking at a modded bike that i've done 3k miles on since the upgrades.
now i'm putting it back to stock & looking to sell.
Ho-hum not anymore! The way you rode HMR back and forth Sunday was outstanding! The bike is incredible in person! So nice to have you in the Collective.
those wheels are just unreal dude
