So yesterday Im at the shop working away on breaking someones forks. Im getting all greasey and then the UPS guy shows up. After his typical spiel of crap he shoots out everyday (you need to see it to believe) he drops off a package for me.
The box seemed curious and it had a name printed all over it some might recognize.
Feeling the need to investigate a bit further I just had to open the box. I took the chance of there being anthrax or a bomb inside because I had to know. After digging through the packing a bit and tossing the instructions asside. We all know that instructions are only to be used as a last resort after all other options have been exhuasted. This was waiting inside

I have one of those bitches, too (with an Eibach spring coiled around it). I just pulled it outta the racebike yesterday so that I could shine it up. You'll laugh at that now, but wait 'til yours gets a little dirty and greasy and you'll find yourself doing exactly the same.

Where did you end up buying it from? You go through Pete?
I did buy it through Pete. Its pretty much the same price everywhere. Im sure I could have found it cheaper if I searched through the internet but in the end it wasnt worth it to me. I figured that Id be having the bike geometry done there as well and its a support of a local shop. Not to mention Im working there now as well. If youre thinking of doing something like this then definately go to him as youre going to get a competitive price on either Ohlins or Penske and youre going to get the support and knowledge of a guy that really knows his stuff.
Ditto. All of my suspension came from Pete. He's the Almighty Suspension Wizard...
