    awesome post. I had the same thing. My first helmet was a large (with fit "help" from the shop i bought my bike from). Now I'm in a small with a thicker head liner thanks to Jeff at Arai. It's by far the most comfortable helmet i've owned now that it fits right.

    Also, why shops like Moto Market are great, because they understand and take the time to properly fit you.

    I bet ALOT of people are in Larges (or bigger) when they should be in Mediums or smalls.

    Im made a similar progression. My first helmet was a large. The first indication I got that it was too large was it would hit my nose on the first stretch. Move down to a medium and I couldnt be happier.

    I used to wear XL, but I squeeze my noggin into a Large now. They fit snug, even after break-in.

    I did end up buying one cheek pad size down (more padding) from what comes from the helmet to get a better feel.
