x-country motorcycle transport

I am looking for recommendations (or advice on who to avoid) for x-country motorcycle transportation between MA/NH and CA. I am in the process of planning a west to east x-country trip, leaving from southern CA in August 2013. My thinking is to ship from (Ducati) dealer to dealer, but I am wanting to get advice on recommendations for transport companies that deal well with point-to-point motorcycle transport.

Any advice, suggestions, etc. on shipping a motorcycle cross country is appreciated. I am planning ahead for a trip late next summer.

I used stidelivers to ship,from Boston to SD and it was great.

I used freightcenter.com, that uses STI

go freight center to freight center...it's around $550-$600
