Went for a quick ride after work Sunday, and ended up on the ground. Came up over a small hill in Myles Standish (Lower College Pond Rd.), only doing about 30-35, hit 3 decent potholes right in a row, bars hit the lock left, then right, and it was like the bike was kicked out from under me. Had my leather jacket, and cortech gloves on but tore my knee up pretty good wearing jeans. Bike was still running laying on the road. Luckily it's pretty deserted in there because anyone coming up over the hill behind me probably wouldn't have seen me until they felt the thump. Got up and checked myself out and stood the bike up and shut it off. Ground the laces and eyelets right off my bates boots and straightened my ankle out. Other than some bumps and rash on my knee and foot I'm fine, more aggravated than anything. I've been riding on the street for over 25 years, and have hit plenty of holes and just about everything else that could be in the road but didn't even see this coming, the instant I felt the bars shake I was down. If I was on the SuperHawk or maybe even going a little faster, I probably wouldn't have even noticed a bump. Rode about 15 miles home, with my pants torn open, knee bleeding, and boot flapping in the breeze, made for some second glances. Here are a few pics, not as bad as I thought at first and I know it could have been a lot worse, just sucks to see all that hard work banged up.
