who's beet
beet is like... a <i>concept</i>, man...
it's like.... a different frame of CONSCIOUSNESS
you can't say "who's beet?"
you can only say... like... "beet. yeah. beet IS."
<b><i>"What are they gonna say about him? What are they gonna say? That he was a kind man? That he was a wise man? That he had plans? That he had wisdom? Bullshit man!"</i></b>
The only "intuitive" interface is the nipple.
The plowed from behind at a traffic scenario is the reasoning I was always given for keeping the bike in first, not neutral, while stopped at a traffic light, and keep one eye on the mirrors with another scanning ahead for the best possible escape route. Granted, there may be scenarios where there *are* no escape routes...Originally posted by zombie

thats not necessarily true , as you can be stopped at a traffic light and be ploughed into from behind by a drunk driver and it doesn't matter if you are valentino rossi you are going to get hit.
This is an integral part of the risks invovled in motorcycling and if you are not willing to accept the risks then don't ride , simple as that.
I'm not sure how Rossi might handle the above scenario, he's probably not used to seeing anyone in his mirrors![]()

My 2 cents.
If you ride, all the other riders are your brothers and sisters so watch there back. I've riden with with members from all kinds of clubs and we all seem to have 1 thing in common, WE LOVE TO RIDE ! Help the biking community as a whole and support this if you will.

I think some people in this thread are still stuck in middle school, or would that be pre-school.
Be nice to tumor, I am sure he means well.![]()

Turn the 'all' into a 'most' and I will agree.Seems to me that what tumor was trying to say is that all accidents can be avoided by an experienced, alert motorcyclist
I think that group riding is safer in some respects, and a lot more fun..for the most i would rather ride alone, its safer more funAfter all, isn't NESR about bringing riders together??
I had some close calls with accidents, mostly due to inexperience. But, I always keep my eyes on the road and the cars/bikes around me. I try to leave an 'escape route' in the event that someone will cut me off, or pull in front of me.
You start with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience before the bag of luck runs out.
14" Biceps. So what if I am weak...
Ok.....GOING BACK TO WHAT THIS POST WAS ABOUT....
Spence it was great to meet you, and glad to hear you're ok. This winter sucked and the result is a lot of sand in the streets. Once again glad you are ok....
Hey Mick is this the first thing Spence did after the crash???

Hey Rui it was great meeting you, and Rice-Rocket at the blessing. Hopefully I'll see you guys at the track this summer or on rides.
yes im inexperenced but crashes come with that. I was going around a blind bend and by the time I saw the sand it was too late because as I was going around the bend I was looking to my exit not at the ground.....you go to where you look. it was to late to correct myself to an upright postion, so I took the fall and walk away knowing what happened and im glad I crashed, it was good to get one out of the way.
