Never
Low speed drops, no injuries, not really a "crash"
Yes once, but I've put it out of my mind like it never happened
Once, and I the horrid feeling of the crash affects my riding decisions
Multiple times, I am fully aware of how bad crashing sucks
Multiple times, and it is easy for me to forget how bad it sucks
I've gone down 3 times twice with some speed.
Once taking a corner too fast for my tires 70mph old with little grip (first bike) broke a thumb skinned a couple fingers.
Once at about 10 mph wet one lane covered bridge car came on touched my brakes and went right down hard. bruised knees
Once driving too fast 75 to 80 mph(see a trend here) on a road i wasnt familiar with. Driving up centerline on a hill and wouldnt you know it the road turned a sharp right at the top. went into a field on the opposite side of the road flipped bike end over end 3 times crushed by bike each time. Not sure extent of injuries didn't go to doctors(thought they might want to operate on my back). back shoulder and chest hurt real bad. This was around 10 years ago and my arms still go numb and hurt sometimes when i sneeze.
You suck at life. Why don't you quit?
My dad told me I could be anything I wanted when I grew up. So I became an Asshole.
I had to vote multiple times. But does it really count on the race track? I have never crashed on the street (thank goodness!)
Yes it sucks crashing on the track too!

Karloff? Sidekick? FUCK YOU!! That cocksucker does not deserve to smell my shit!
Actually, does crashing on an XR50 count?
I took a pretty good digger going as fast as one of those stupid things will go, doing a wheelie, went over backwards on a dirt road. LOTS of road rash and a headache for about 3 days. Pretty good scar about a foot long on my left forearm.
i voted "Yes once, but I've put it out of my mind like it never happened", but the second 1/2 isn't fully true... it was pretty minor, but it has changed the way i ride - slightly - as it did provide a learning experience. I now don't come quite so close to the inside of the road on a right hand turn while riding on the street. i try & stay more towards the middle so i have more leeway to go left or right w/in my lane.
Here's a quick explanation why i do this now...
i was coming off a highway (reasonable speed, 'bout 45mph) and was on the inside 1/3rd of the lane going around a cloverleaf... it was kinda blind because it was at night & there was a guardrail... as i was comin around the corner there was roadkill in the middle of the road... i didn't have enough room to go to the inside of it cuz the guardrail was right there, so i tried to stand the bike upright & go around the outside of it... didn't quite make it, went right over it which unsettled the bike (it was a big dead opossum)... ended up going straight, but the road kept turning... hopped a curb, did some offroading & finally went down in the dirt & whaled the back of my head on a huge rock.
nothin major, just a lightly banged up helmet, concussion & sore body for a couple days... didn't even bother getting med. attention... but lesson learned
1 crash in 8000 miles... not too bad
now it's time to go knock on wood.... there we go![]()

Never crashed on the street, but I'm edging up on 15 crashes on the track. 5 this year alone!
I finally got hurt in the last on, breaking my right wrist and left pinky. 2 more weeks in a cast.
Interestingly, in all my crashes, I've only touched my head to the pavement like twice. Never hard enough to get a concussion.
yep. most recent was a highchair wheelie gone terribly wrong.2nd gear over the back onto the head.two busted ankels and half of face paralyzed, almost gone now tho.i guess it all comes with the territory.later
Yep, once early on in my street riding days...It wasn't even my bike, but I never told my friend I crashed his bike...Couldn't tell...I low sided because of sand in the road, my leg under the bike saved parts from getting scratched...Washed the bike to see what kind of damage (had to get all of the dirt, grass, etc... off)...No visible damage...My jeans, leg, and jacket had some rash, but the most important thing was that I didn't hurt his bike...

Didn't you run off the road on .5squids big ride 2 seasons ago?
I had my first get-off on the street this season (11 years of street riding). I was riding in slow traffic when all of a sudden the rear wheel kicked out and snapped back damn near highsiding me. To my amazement I recovered from that but by the time I got my ass back in the saddle, I was at the edge of the road and went into the dirt. I managed to scrub off some speed but my front end tucked under in the soft soil and I hit the ground hard sliding through all sorts of rocks and other debris. I got up, brushed myself off and man handled the bike upright.
I had no idea why the rear end went wild until the guy that was behind me (who stopped to see if I was ok) said that a car going in the opposite direction ran over a rock and it spit out right under my rear tire. The rock was about the size of my fist. My Vansons did their job and I didn't have a scratch on my body. Two days after the crash it felt like someone had taken a sledgehammer to my rib cage. I never went to the doctor to confirm that I had broken ribs but the fact that it took a little over a month for the pain to go away suggests that was the case.

crashed once, made the bad decision to ride when the suspension/ tree was screwed up and paid for it when a truck stopped dead in front of me on 93 when i was attempting to switch lanes... what sucks the most is I took the insurance money instead of fixing the bike and I havent been on in almost 2 years with the exception of my dad's cruiser time to time.
I'm in my first season of riding and it's been all good so far. I've heard the expression, "it's not IF you will go down, it's WHEN." I'm wearing my gear in preporation for my first, but I'm in no rush.
only had 2 street crashes. at 16 and 17 years old on my poor little EX250... ofcourse no gear other than helmet and el cheapo gloves. i like to think i learned from those mistakes. i've crashed on the track twice. lowside in full gear was almost pleasent. the abrupt stop after a highside less so.
2 Street Crashes...1 lucky enough to walk away from, the other a nice trip to the Emergency Room. They gave me a nice comfy bed at the Hospital for a Month. First two weeks were a blur then after that allot of hot Nurses.![]()

I lowsided last thursday at Loudon in turn 2, due to an over active throttle handMinimal damage to the bike, just frame sliders, and scraped up the stator cover. Finished off my sessions and life went on

Crashed once in 05 during a wet TTD in turn 3. Twice in 06 racing in the rain, once in turn 1 and once in 11. I've had a tip over in my driveway, but nothing major on the street.
Whose bumping my ancient threads!
Still haven't crashed since I posted this.
I don't think much has changed...
i have two crashes on my riding record
first was the very first time i rode my very first bike. a nice shinny m620 with 12 miles on it. It was a saturday and i had to wait till monday to register it. so i decided to try my new toy up and down my friends private dirt roadi was doing great put about 20 miles on it and next thing i know i'm over the bars and on my head
what the hell? as it turns out the damn thing bottomed out coming out of a rut and shot me off into my first highside
o well live and learn. but i was wearing jacket, gloves, jeans, and a full face
My next one was last year. i got on the highway minding my own business just putting along to work. when all of a sudden a car passes me IN MY LANE. nearly hits me on the way by and then pulls in front of me and slams on the breaks! option 1 was to land in his back seat. option 2 was to lay it down. so that was my first lowside. slid for about an 1/8th mile jumped up and pulled my steel framed pig of a bike off the ground and out of traffic.
then the 65 year old veteran demands my insurance info!?!? i never touched his car! so as im laying on a stretcher waiting for my x-ray results the state trooper that came AFTER the crash brings me a ticket
thats all so far, hope the next time is a loooong time away
