Cougers are also on the older side...mid to late 40s and up...there is also the Panther (Couger-in-training...that are generally divorced, mid-30s and up...same as Couger, just not as experienced or ruthless)

I was just hanging out with a guy I work with who is 35, gorgeous and never been married and we were discussing that it seems when guys get into their 30's, they feel the need to get married, so they marry the wrong person, are miserable and ultimately either cheat or just stop trying and get divorced.

    Kind of jades you.
Sounds kinda like women hitting 30..... with the mental AND biological clocks a tickin.

Also, clearing up the cougar thing, they are 15+ years older than the man...

I like to think I'm a cougar in training. The guys I work with call myself and another girl Office Cougars because we make it a habit to do recon on the new hire classes and call dibs on the hotter new reps

As for the divorce...I think I paid 300.00. The trick is...don't fight over stupid material items. At one point in time you loved each other, or at least thought you did...suck it up, get together, be reasonable and work it out. It is not that hard. Anything he wanted....I gave him. All I wanted to was keep the last name so my kids always felt like they 'belonged' to me.

Great job Jaynnus. I could have sat here for HOURS and not been able to put in to words exactly what I was thinking, but you hit the nail right on the head. Clearly your kids come first, a sentiment I can greatly relate to and the no BS, level headed approach to the whole situation is definitely something to be commended. Too many times ex-wives get the worst rap, all part of the legendary stereotypes. Kudos for proving in one fell swoop that not all of us women are alike.
